Problems with IE10

Today I tried EagleGet and unfortunately I had to uninstall it.
I was looking for a light download manager for IE10 and EagleGet
was that but with EagleGet addon enabled I was not able to open any link
at Icefilms.info.Also messages from IE were disabled. For example message after
cleaning cookies, cache etc.Downloading from Youtube worked great.

Re: Problems with IE10

GodForbid, I tried Icefilms.info on IE10 W7 x64 and had none of the problems you describe.  Are you sure you installed the latest EagleGet (1.0.8 beta)?  In the future, Please post under Report Bugs.  Thanks and enjoy, J.

EDIT: I hope you will try EagleGet again.  If you still have problems, please report and gives us as much details a possible - URLs, other Add-Ons enabled, etc.

Re: Problems with IE10

I am using AdFender 1.75 only with IE10.Also I use SpywareBlaster .I have WebRank SEO toolbar and WOT as addons.
Obviously there is some conflict because IE messages at the bottom were disabled.I cannot give you specific url because
I could not open any link at Icefilms.info.It looks like EagleGet BHO was acting as pop-up blocker at maximum.
I was using latest EagleGet 1.0.8 beta version.I have Windows 7 SP1 32-bit.Hope this will help you to find what was
the problem.Thanks.

Re: Problems with IE10

I tried EagleGet 1.08 again and problems are the same. I'll wait for
next beta release. I have suggestions about uninstalling EagleGet addons from
browsers. It was easy to remove it from Firefox but from Pale Moon I had to find it
in Pale Moon folder and delete it. I removed IE addon with the help of
Addons Manager in CCleaner.

Re: Problems with IE10

Thanks, GodForbid.  I will do some testing.  The developers will need to comment but I suspect that a newer version of EG will not help your problem unless we can identify what is causing it.  From my experience (and many other users), it is not EG alone.  Do non-IE browsers have any similar problems?  Have you tried disabling the other IE Add-Ons with EG running to see if one is interacting with EG and causing the problem?  Thanks and enjoy, J.

EDIT:  After doing some testing, I have come to the conclusion that Icefilms.info is just a really lousy web site.  I cannot seem to DL anything today but iLivid.  This is not changed when I install EG.  I suspect that the site is remembering my IP address and refusing to let me do much of anything.  Please give me a specific URL that works without EG and fails with EG.  I cannot duplicate your 'no message' condition. Do you have any IE10 problems with legitimate sites?  If so, please provide them and I will do some testing.  Can you DL EagleGet for the EagleGet web site?

Re: Problems with IE10

@MisterJ I didn't try EG with other browsers because honestly I don't need it. I use FlashGot & DownThemAll
addons in PM & Firefox. I tried EG with AdFender's filtering disabled. I also disabled WOT & Webrank SEO Toolbar.
Still the same thing, problems with EG. Icefilms site is working fine, you have to uncheck download manager box
that some hosts have near download button (link) and you'll be able to download video files. Also it is not wise
to visit those hosts without some kind of AdBlock. Every link (source) is working without EG and none with it.
I cannot open any of the source link. It just won't open like it is blocked by Pop-up blocker.

Re: Problems with IE10

GodForbid, do other web sites (than Icefilms.info) work with EG installed and enabled in IE?  Since you have other DL Managers installed, are their Add-Ons installed and enabled in IE?  Thanks and enjoy, J.

EDIT: I always only have one DL Manager installed on my system.  I would suspect interference if more than one.  Can you remove all DL Managers (except EG) and try EG?

Re: Problems with IE10

DownThemAll is not standalone DL manager. It is Firefox addon that also works
in Pale Moon since PM is optimized Firefox browser.Flashgot is also Firefox addon
and it is actually browser integration for DL managers. It also detects video
(and other files) on websites, something like EG download button on video sites.
When EG becomes stable probably it will be supported by FlashGot.

Re: Problems with IE10

GodForbid, I guess the bottom line is that you need to do what you think is best.  I suspect mixing all these ingredient's is causing your problems with EG.  Since I have seen no other reports of your kinds of problems, I also suspect, at least for now, it is unique to you.  The developers will need to decide if this problem requires solution in EG.  Thanks and enjoy, J.

Re: Problems with IE10

Hi GodForbid, we're currently looking into this problem. It may be caused by IE plugins conflicts.

It's hard to solve, but we'll try our best. smile

Re: Problems with IE10

Great news.Just to inform you about plugins versions.Flash and QuickTime plugins
are latest versions.Divx Web Player is older 1.5 version which supports avi/divx.
New version which supports avi/divx/mkv/mp4 is buggy as hell and unstable.
Thanks.
