Hi c-sanchez,

I'm using the portable, which would be my preference anyway, but I think there's a problem with the installer.

I tried your workaround from last time, reverting to eagleget_ffext@eagleget.com.xpi 4.1.15 and, so far, so good.  I tried it on a few YouTube videos, and it there is some odd behavior.  I went to a video I had tried before successfully downloading complete files, and this time I only got the segments.  I tried another file in the same playlist, and it offered the complete files.  So,. I went back to the first video, and now I was able to capture the complete files.

So I don't know if it's a Eagleget thing or a YouTube thing.

Ditto on the "docked" thing as well.

Hi kltpzyxmrm, I'm glad to hear that was useful the old firefox extension for you too smile

The portable version is my favorite choice too, I used the installer just for test purposes, to view if it was something necessary maybe.

I think I have some minor details with video capture via extension too, I have not reviewed it very thoroughly but I guess is for that, is a older extension. Although it's working good enough for now at least hehe.

I've tried the extension on Firefox from Windows XP SP3 (my default os) and from Windows 7 home basic (here with latest -stable- firefox version) too, I'm still having the same problem sad

FWIW, Windows 10 pro, Firefox 55.03

The best way I can explain video capture/media grabber, is that it is consistently inconsistent.  It either eventually works "good enough", or sometimes works "too good'.

To get it going, you have to kinda "jump start" it.

If your using the portable, follow the given instructions;  run "install.bat" from the Eagleget folder; install the 4.1.15 .xpi file; restart the browser (that may not be part of the instructions, but I find it may help in the "jump start process), and then maybe clear the cache.  Maybe accepting cookies on YouTube might help too (I don't know for sure, but again, it's one of those fundamental things you do to clear up your path)

Then, go to YouTube, and see what you get in terms of what you capture from the Eagleget toolbar button.  If you get the segments, try another video on the list.  If that works getting you whole files, go back to the first and see what happens.

If it still doesn't work, then the backup plan is the media grabber.  Right click the video screen, and select "copy video url".  If it's working right, you'll get the media grabber popup dialog message--click on that and you will be led to download the video.

If the popup doesn't appear, open the Eagleget interface.  Chances are the "media Grabber" button will have a indicator in red, with the number one, that a file has been captured for download.  Click on it.

If all that hasn't occurred, open the Eagle interface, click on the Media Grabber" button, and paste the video url you originally copied from the video screen into the "please input url" field, click on the magnifying glass, and you should get the prompt to download the file.  Hopefully the file you intended to download, and not something like a .html file.

After that, you may or may not have "jump started" Eagleget into at least first recognizing the copied url and displaying the popup without having to go thru all the other steps.  You just have to wait and see.

Getting back to what I said about "too good" is that sometimes if you capture a video and decide not to download it, it will persistently nag you to download it, multiple times, even after you close the browser and open it up again, by either the Eagleget interface popping up involuntarily to remind you, or every time you open the Eagleget interface.  As I speak, when I open the interface, I am prompted to download a video long forgotten.

My suggestion for this is a sorely needed "Clear the clipboard" option.

Eagleget is my favorite tool in its category.  I respectfully submit my comments.
