Automatic video download

I have found strange behavior when I am trying to watch some online videos.

For example:
If I try to play video from this link when I press play button EG immediately pops out and giving you dialog box for new download and page says that video could not be found. Meaning that you cannot watch online video on this page - you can only download it! Same thing happens with some other web pages.
I would rather have just download button so I can choose will I watch video online or download it.

Re: Automatic video download

bbrodriguez, please tell us what version of Windows and what browser you are using.  If you are not using the latest version of EagleGet (1.0.3.0p, http://www.eagleget.com/download/eagleget_preview.exe ), please give it a try and let us know the results.  Enjoy, John.

Re: Automatic video download

Same thing is happening with this site:

http://www.allmyvideos.net/829n2l8e19h2

Problem on this site is even worse:

http://www.filebox.com/uyrfumikpwms

It is not strange behavior it is bug. When I click play it spawns 3-4 new download dialog boxes every second until I close the page.

Re: Automatic video download

bbrodriguez, I do not have Firefox available and cannot recreate the problem with IE10 or Chrome.  One of the sites did not work at all and I suspect it needs cookies or a PW.  Please try IE and report what you get.  Thanks and enjoy, J.

Re: Automatic video download

I don't use IE but I tried with it (IE8).
On first site (vidbull.com) I can watch video normally online but there is no download button.

allmyvideso and filebox I did not manage to try since wherever I click I get 2-3 popus/advertisements and it seems that nothing is working like it should smile

P.S.
Since I have not used IE for long time I didn't know that internet these days is so overflowed with advertisements. I really cannot understand people who use IE when you have Firefox and Chrome - so clean, so fast smile

Re: Automatic video download

bbrodriguez, I guess to each their own in choosing browsers.  I have tried many and always came back to IE.  Several years ago, I used Firefox as my primary browser but there were always some sites I had to use IE or they just did not work.  Since you tried IE8 I would suspect worst performance compared to up to date Firefox.  IE10 is much better and is why I upgraded from IE9 when it went RTM.  What I noticed in trying to recreate your problem is that IE10 did not show a bunch of junk, such as the track runners animation and the iLivid DL button (just a white rectangle) nor two spawned windows that Chrome did.  I am not trying to convince you to move to IE10, but I do have what I consider valid reasons for using IE10.  I keep Chrome installed so I can have quick access to an alternate browser when I really need one.  I think EagleGet will get a handle on your bug soon.  Enjoy, J.
